When I try to switch from one identity to another, sometimes the second
identity comes up with a gray preview pane. There is no way to make the
message show up unless I log out and back into the computer. Sometimes when
I try to switch identities, nothing comes up. When trying to relaunch the
program, it says it's already running. I have to log off and back on or
reboot the computer to make it work. Is there a fix for this yet? I
regularly download all critical updates from Microsoft. I also have the
problem of trying to switch identities and get the same one back. Did they
fix this yet?

What operating system are you running? What version of inetcomm.dll is
shown in the Help/About box in Outlook Express? It's also possible that you
have an option set in Tools/Options/Maintenance to automatically compact
messages in the background and that compacting is taking place when you try
to switch.
