Why has OE disappeared off my start menu? What could I have done?

Hi there,
I don't know how that could have happened, but you can get it back by
creating a shortcut to msimn.exe. Look in Program Files | Outlook Express.

Did it disappear from the top of the Start Menu? Where is says "E-mail" and
right under "Internet"? If so, another email client may have become your
default E-mail client. You can change it back under "Set Program Access and
Defaults" in the Start Menu.
Did it disappear from "Start Menu->All Programs->Outlook Express"?

Is "Outlook Express" still under Start Menu->All Programs?

Did it disappear from the Top of the start menu? Next to "E-mail" and below
"Internet"?
If so, try Start Menu->Set Program Access and Defaults.
Otherwise, did it disappear from under "Start Menu->All Programs"?

Is this what the pirated copy of Longhorn's OE does. Breaks up your answers into 4
different posts <vbg>
Apart from that you are posting via CDO which is not the best

Is msimn.exe located in C:\Program Files\Outlook Express ?
msimn.exe is the executable for Outlook Express. Make a shortcut to it and
name it Outlook Express.

No, he isn't. He's just using the same return address that the Web
interface uses. But unless he's spoofing everything, it looks like he's
using Win2K3 if my memory serves me correctly.

I doubt it. Look at my W2K3 OE version in my mail properties and His OE version in
his. How does one spoof a different version of OE in properties of a post

In the headers what is listed as the OE version is actually that of one of
the DLLs. I forget which one and mine are all the same.
Besides, that version of Longhorn (if it actually exists) would not use OE
6.00.

It's inetcomm.dll and the version number that shows in the post is usually
the number of that dll as shown in the Help/About box for OE (unless one
does some hacking in the Outbox).
