Can't Export messages

Trying to export messages from Express 6.00.2800.1123 and getting "Error
occurred while initializing MAPI"

Followed Microsoft KB instruction about unchecking Express as the default
email client, but that is not possible. There is no check box and the button
that is there is greyed out.

OE's Export only exports to Outlook. What are you trying to accomplish?

Want to export file so I can back it up.

If I set it up so that the default is to "My Documents" I have backed that
up. Is that possible?
