Mail Send/Receive problem
I receive the following error if i try to send/receive mails from outlook
express 6 with SP1.
" The connection to the server has failed. Accout "*****" Server "*******"
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket error: 10065, Error no
0x800CCC0E.
I tried to login as administrator and configured the account and it worked
fine but when i tried to log as another user it does not work. All the
configurations in Outlook Express are done. I have checked the " My server
requires authentication" and also it isn't showing up. But when i create a
new profile for the user it works fine.
Can any one help me out of this?

WSAEHOSTUNREACH 10065 No route to host.
I would guess that you have something set up wrong in the account, probably
a typo in the server name.

No everything is configured fine. Also all the other clients are able to send
receive mails and also if i log in as admin in that node i am able to send
receive mails. Why is that so?

Because in each case you are using a different account setup. Try deleting
the account and recreating it. If that doesn't fix it, try a new identity
in OE.

Assuming your "new profile" means a new identity, it's likely that the
original (Main) Identity was damaged. In the new identity, just import
messages from the old identity (File>Import>Messages) and then delete the
old one (File>Identities>Manage identities).
To avoid the problem in future:
- Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose.
- Empty Deleted Items folder daily.
- Disable Background Compacting [N/A in SP2] and frequently perform a manual
compact of all OE folders while "working offline". More at
http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm.
- Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause such
corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
