I use WinXP and sp2 service pack.
-- Every time I want to turn off or restart my computer, since I click
Start button, it takes about to 6 minutes, to the window:
<<Standby-Turnoff-Restart>> to show up.
Please, what could I do to correct this?

It could be some program is hanging and refusing to shut down. Check the
Events Viewer to see if you have any error or caution messages. It could be
almost anything, and possibly something to do with the internet or a network
connection.

If you look for "slow shutdown" or something similar in the Help and Support
section, you might find something.
