Can't decide

I've been on OE for years but for ease of backup (I share the address book
and have no idea where that is stored, and functionality (more features) I
am thinking of switching over all my email to Outlook.

Anyone have pros or cons?

How do I transfer all my email? Can I adjust the registry so I can at lease
see my address book. Outlook does not seem to allow for newsgroups, is this
correct? I know I should post this in the Outlook Newsgroup but over many
years I've been here, you folks have been so helpful I thought I'd ask you
first.

Thanks
Rob

The newer versions of Outlook use OE as their news reader. They should
import your mail folders when Outlook is installed. If not, you can export
your messages from OE to Outlook.

See, you are one of the people who have been here a long time and who I will
miss if I convert. I changed my default newsreader setting in Internet
explorer to Outlook. Im running Outlook 98 and the help menu tells me to
click Go/News, but I get sent back to OE. On the tools, options menu in
Outlook there is no tab for news so I guess Outlook 98 does not all
newsreaders ?????? Should I post this in the Outlook ng?
Thanks

You may want to check an Outlook newsgroup. As I said, Outlook uses OE for
news.
