Downloading and opening PDF files in IE6

When I click on a link to download and view a PDF file in IE6, the file will
not download for viewing, but now freezes up IE6. I'm running XP Home, sith
SP2, and all patches to date, on a high end machine.

If I right click on the link, and save the PDF file, that presents no
problem, and it happens promptly - following which I can then open the file
in Acrobat Reader.

This condition started in recent times, probably after I totally
restructured my security setup. So, I'm guessing that either my current
firewall (Zone Alarm), or antivirus (AVG Professional) is blocking the
ability to download and open the PDF file.

Anyone have any suggestions on this matter -

Thanks

When I shut down my system after a session where this PDF situation
occurred, I get a window that advises me that PDF file(s) are open in IE6,
and must be closed. But I see no files open, nor any access to such files???

I contined with my search for the cause, and I did learn that disabling Zone
Alarm, removed the problem. So I searched further, and finally located the
window in ZA that lists programs, and offers choices on how to handle those
programs. For some reason, Adobe Reader was configured to "reject" without
asking. Changing that to "allow" solve the problem.
