Hey all,

I recently had a hard drive crash in which I lost all of my stuff.
Fortunately I was able to take it to a shop where we were able to recover
most of the lost data.
Now that I have replaced the drive and RE-Installed XP and updated Explorer
and OE I want to get my folders and messages back. I don't care about the
news stuff.
I was able to go in and get back the folders that were on my old drive. To
make sure I copied all of the *.DBX I could see in the folder. Now I need to
know how to get them back on to my machine so that all of the folders are
there along with the messages contained therein.
As I said, I have all of the *.DBX folders that I could find and I think
there are even a few newsgroup folders in there that also have a *.dbx name,
those I don't care about.
Can anyone guide me through regaining my folders and messages? I would
REALLY appreciate it and prolly would name my first born after you.....
Thanks

Larry

File | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6 | Import mail from an
OE6 store directory
Press OK
Press Browse then navigate to the folder on the hard drive where the dbx
files are stored.
Select it then press OK
Finish up the import.

The dbx files MUST be on a hard drive (non-removable)
They MUST also not have the Read Only attribute set on them. (Right click
and select Properties)

Should you not get the messages from some or all folders, you might still be
able to recover the using one of the tools on http://www.oehelp.com
