ever since I put on xp service pack 2, outlook express prompts me to select
an identity, even though I have chosen one as the identity to use when
starting the program. it reverts back to the same question. I have lava
softs adwatch running and wonder if that could be the culprit. any ideas??

Did you happen to use Tom's ForceID script to cause OE to prompt for an
Identity?
Are you using Exit and Log Off?

The Identity subkey could also be damaged in the Default User ID, Identity
Login, Last User ID, Last Username and Start As values.

START | Run
type in Regedit and press ENTER

Press the + sign next to HKEY_CUURENT_USER
click on Identities subkey.

Look at the values in the right pane that are mentioned above.

Do any of these show a {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000} value?
