Comcast Home Page?

Anybody using Comcast High Speed Internet?

Is your Home page not fully loaded with a right side blue with no text or
graphics.

Contacted comcast everything suggested, tried, no solution. Tried a few
items in Java. No solutions. There is a vertical scroll bar on right side
but no horizontal scroll bar at the bottom for adjustments. Example even
tried their yellow pages directory. Text on the left of screen overlaps
other text and right side of page empty and blue. Can't put the blame on my
monitor or computer because every other pages work fine. Any comments or
ideas appreciated.

Sorry, the Comcast home page works fine on my computer. Sounds like
something's up with your computer.

Does this problem remotely relate to MS Outlook Express? It sounds like a
browser problem. The browser experts hang out in:

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser

....if you are using MS Internet Explorer 6. For other versions of MSIE
there are other microsoft groups. For other browsers, there are other news
servers. For Comcast, there is the Comcast forum at BroadBandReports:

http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/comcast

Frankly, it sounds like you are using a different browser than MSIE, and
the Comcast webmaster has not taken browsers other than MSIE into account.

Norman, Thanks for your reply and the link to broadband reports Comcast
forum.
Don't thing it's related MS Outlook Express. Using IE6. Might be related now
that I think of it late April I was not able to access high speed internet
even though modem was functioning properly and every other thing was prim
and proper. After several house calls of Techs one made a contact with
somebody that through hand holding did some adjusting in the registry and
everything fell into place. What was done I have no idea but when Comcast
installed the new home page is when my home page became this way. Customer
people contacted from Comcast home page apparently are not that tech where
they can or know how to work in the registry. Will try your link to the
forum. Thanks again.

PS, just because Comcast is your ISP doesn't mean you have to use it as
your home page, you can use anything you want. So asking users of
Comcast if "their" home page looks funny doesn't make a lot of sense? I
use my own home page, with links to my favourite sites.
When I look at Comcast, there is no horizontal scroll bar. What monitor
resolution are you using?

Try re-assigning your home page.
Click on -
www.google.com
Then in IE>tools>internet>options>home page>use current>apply.
Then click on www.comcast.com
And go through the above options again.
See if that looks any better?

Same condition.

Comcast suggested re-installing IE6. MS KB Article instructs how modify the
registry to re-install IE6, not competent enough to do that.

Have you tried with a different resolution? Say 1024 x 768?

I have even tried every suggestion from,

http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/comcast

with no success, and every one has been different and well meaning.
I think the problem lies in the registry. The people that replied to my
request from Comcast are not Tech or support. They just service reps.

In that case I have no further suggestions other than posting in an IE
group, or re-installing IE which seems rather drastic if it is only the
Comcast page you are having problems with.
