"store folder" on company server?

Hello to all. I have a unique situation where my Sony Vaio laptop is going
away for a short while with one of my colleagues. I was wondering if I'd
have any issues if I change the location of the "Store" folder to a network
drive here in the office. That way, if I need to access any of my old
e-mails I can bring them in to one of the other PC's I use.

If I make the change, I'd probably leave the message store there since I
don't use this particular laptop when I travel, I have a Dell 5150 I use for
that. The Sony stays in the office with me except when it travels with one
of my guys.
Thanks in advance,
best regards,
morey g

Yeah there will be a few problems, you won'tbe able to access them in OE
until you move them back or import them into OE on themachine you are using.
Since your laptop will be elsewhere, you will need to import them instead of
copying over the current one because they are tied to the laptop's {USER_ID}

One big one - OE won't do it.

Thanks for the info. I guess that's why it's the "Express" version of
Outlook. Gets you there fast, but no flexibilty. Time to get Outlook on this
PC, too, I guess.

If you're happy with OE and don't need all the functionality of Outlook, try
Mozilla Thunderbird. That'll allow you to access email on a network drive.
(You can add things like a calendar too if you wish, so that you get
something mid-way between OE and Outlook)
