If you are using WinXP/SP2, and it was not already on your
computer from the factory, you will have to remove SP2 first.

this one sounds like my problem, but it doesn't solve it. It
lets me
delete the key, but when I restart OE, I have the same
problem. Same
again when I do it and restart the entire system per kb
216382. And I
went back and restarted ximian and did it successfully there
again just
to make sure I wasn't hallucinating.
