The blasted Information Bar

How can I disable the Information Bar? It pops up far too often telling me
my security settigs won't allow ActiveX controls to run. Now, having
personlly set those settings to prevent them from running, I am well aware
of this. I don't need to be reminded of it everytime I surf the 'net.
So can someone please tell me how to prevent this annoyance from rearing
its worthless head again? Preferably without telling me to change my
settings to allow the ActiveX to run. Those controls, like the Information
Bar, are just a bad idea to begin with.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks, but tht seems to have no effect on preventing it from informing me
of the ActiveX controls I refuse to allow to run.

FlameStrike,
Try changing the ActiveX in IE, not to Prompt you.
In IE> TOOLS> Internet Options> Security tab> Select Internet> Custom Level button> Scroll through list> and change anything that "Prompt" is selected, to either "Disable" or "Enable". Your choice, but remember it can make your internet browsing at times.

Everything is already disabled, not set to prompt. I'm looking for an
option that doesn't require me to enable it. Thanks anyway.

Hi FlameStrike :-)
Try the following and see if it helps:
Tools > Internet Options> Advanced
Scroll down to Security
Switch on: Allow active content to run in files on My Computer
You may need to do the same for CD's.
