I hope someone can help me with this. In recently downlaoded Microsoft
Internet Explorer 6.0. I haev an older PC (Dell 1999) and am running Windows
98-Original Version. I get the following error message when I try to play
certain games"

"Page provides potentially unsafe information to an Active X control.
Current security settings prohibit running controls in this manner".

We cant find anything in "Tools" Internet Options" Security" or "Advanced"
that would cause this. Im out of options. Id appreciate a helping hand!!
Thanks.

Karen,

Have you tried temporarily setting the security level in your browser to
the lowest possible level in order to avoid the warning prompts while
you are playing the games.

In IE go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > move the slider down
to low > Apply > OK.

Emrys,

Thank you for thge suggestion--we've tried it. Nothing seems to work. I
wonder if I should uninstall IE 6.0. Truthfully, Id like to go back to the
previous version that I was using but dont know how>

Have you tried repairing Internet Explorer?

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Scroll to and
highlight Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP1 (hope you have SP1 from
Windows Update) and Internet Tools > c. Add/Remove > Select 'Repair
Internet Explorer' > OK
