A quick history.
I recently played around with thunderbird and also OE. In the thunderbird
it asked if I wanted to import everything from OE, I said yes and in an
instant it was done.
OE has to be difficult. I created a new identity. There seems to be
options to import my mail addresses and other data to my local folders but
when you click on them, they ask for a source. It wants to go to some file
called coral addresses something or other. There seems to be a big mystery
of where those files are. I know they are in windows explorer under
identities and I can browse to there but it won't go to the directories past
outlook express where they are.
I solved the basic email files by simply going to windows explorer, copying
the old outlook express and pasting it into the new identity. I can't find
my address book anyplace even using searches in windows explorer. The
import popup for address book alludes to a *.wab file assuming one of that
ext will be copied to the new identity. Windows explorer can't find a file
with that extension either.
I have read the help files and nothing they suggest seems to work for me. I
had a brain storm and tried to Export from the Old identity to the New one
and that didn't work either.
Anyone?
