:( New Window "takes over" toolbars and changes them... :(

I have my ie6 toolbars "locked" but sometimes when I click on a link, their
toolbar format, for example the standard buttons, takes over and then I have
to go back and laboriously change and move everything around. If I close
their browser instance first, and mine is still open, then it will hold its
original layout, but often I only have one browser instance open then I have
the problem.

Any ideas on some way to either "really lock" the toolbar layout, or a way
to save it and restore it easily?

Thanks,
Nat

Hi,
First see the Recommended Minimal Security Settings at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Websites shouldn't be able to
rearrange your toolbar without your permission.

To easily reset toolbar configuration, try Toolbar Chest (for IE) from
http://www.freewarehome.com/Internet/Web_Browsers_Tools/Internet_Explorer_t.html

Hope this helps,
