Alan, Can you please explain? Ideally, your suggestion is great, but it does
not work on my pc. I have looked through all of the posts on Favorites, but
have not found an answer to my problem. In Windows, all the folders & each
link under them are easily sorted alphabetically. But they are NOT sorted
that way in IE. When I do the Favorites, Sort By Name, it only sorts the
folders, not the links in each folder. It seems like it should display them
the way they are in the Windows folder. Any ideas?

Hi Dee

I don't see the connection between your question and the ancient
response you have dug up but...

If you want to sort the favorites in the folders, then right-click on
a favorite in a folder and select Sort By Name.
(Yes, it can be a hassle, but life wasn't meant to be easy according
to Big Mal)

They are not meant to display as in Explorer without a bit of trouble.
It is a "feature".
If you want the whole lot sorted then close IE and delete the Registry
key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder

....Alan
