No connection to the Internet is currently available

I have 4 PC's wired to a Linksys BEFSR41 wired router with DSL 768bps down. 2 of the
PC's have developed an identical and consistent problem: While taking a break from
browsing, the following error message pops up over a browser window: "No connection to
the Internet is currently available. To view Internet content that has been saved on
your computer, click Work Offline." If I click on "Try Again" it reconnects every time.
The other 2 PC's on the LAN are not affected at all by this nasty gremlin. I've been
working on this for weeks with no success. Tried all the usual solutions that a Google
search brings up. I've seen this issue before and it seems to "resolve itself with
time." (I'm very careful about spyware and use two different spyware scanners. Ditto for
virii.)

Try going to the properties of your NIC and on the Power Management
tab make sure Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
is not checked.

Thanks for your response. I don't have a Power Mgmt. tab in NIC properties on any of
these PC's (all running XP Professional edition).

What options do you see? Incase you were just on Network Connections:

- Right Click your Network Connection
- On the General tab, click Configure
