Any ideas?

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

I am having the exact same problem as you, after that last critical update.
Mine is a bit random though, as it doesn't happen all the time, but enough to
be aggravating when doing work. Sometimes its all the windows, sometimes
its a few that turn off. I too, use Norton 2005 . It's the first Norton
that has really integrated itself into IE, and it may be conflicting. just a
hunch. Maybe Norton is the culprit and the last patch jinxed it or
something. May be something for MS, or Symantec to look into to see.
