IE is included in XP and cannot be installed separately. To reinstall
this, you need to have an XP cd ready.
Insert the XP cd
Open INF folder (C:\windows\inf)
right click on IE.INF and select Install
Point to the cd location, and click on I386 folder to install
reboot your PC.
hope this helps

If OP is running WinXP SP2, he would reinstall IE by reinstalling SP2, Tim.

If reinstalling SP2 does not fix it, the problem is not with IE. It's most
likely being caused by hijackware.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
