Searching from the address bar

Used to be that if you typed a URL with a spelling mistake or other
mistake, IE would take you automatically to the MSN search page, list close
matches, etc. Now all I get is "http:///%20URL" - yes, three slashes, %20
and the URL I typed. Anyone know how to make IE go back to the way it was?

Please note that I have set options for "searching from the address bar" to
"display results in main window" and I still get the result described
above.

Thanks.
