Only allowed one browser window at a time

Hi.. I am having a strange problem that just started on my desktop. I can
only have one browser window open at a time. No matter how I open the second
browser (from the shortcut or open in new window), the new window opens then
immediately the original window closes. I ran a virus scan with the updated
software and it found nothing. It was fine this morning. The only
significant thing I can think of that happened was I was trying to print a
bank statement this morning and I kept getting a message saying I didn't have
the latest version of Adope Acrobat reader. Even after I installed it. Has
anyone else seen this behavior and how did you fix it? I tried searching for
something on the MS sites as well as Google and didn't find anything. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW. I uninstalled Acrobat and restarted several times. No change.

Thanks.

Damn Yahoo toolbar!!! Somehow it got installed on my machine and the pop up
blocker was turned on. I've never seen a popup blocker prevent you from
opening a window from the task bar. Aren't they supposed to prevent
"unwanted" pop ups? That really sucks!!!!!

Oh well, problem solved. Although I would love to know how that piece of
crap ended up on my machine when I didn't install it.

Guess that's one reason I don't have an aggressive pop up stopper. How is is
going to know if a pop up is "unwanted" or another window that you *do*
want.
