I want to download all the updates after SP2 and write them to cd

I remember vaguely that there was a way to do this from the
windowsupdate.com site

pressing some links, but when I do this now, I cannot find the place to
download.

PS. I am interested in the updates for the Greek version of XPSP2

THANKS

At Windows Update go to the administrator options and then the Windows
Update Catalog

Hello, You may not have accessed the right WindowsXP SP2. I believe there
are two on the supplied list. Take a look and see if there is another listing
of WindowsXP sp2, second from the bottom of the list supplied in the window
that opened.
Take Care.

As stated by Mike B.
Go to Windows Update>Use Administrator Options (bottom left)>Windows Update
Catalog>Then you will have 3 options, the 2 you want are 1: Find update for
Windows OS's 2: Find driver updates for hardware

Choose Find updates for Windows OS's, then you will have to choose the OS
you want the updates for.

Was there, tried that. When you do it, do you get a full list of all the

I get only the net framework

the above is correct; follow the instructions carefully and you'll get
there.

but there are a lot of updates (over 100, 54 critical or better), and some
superceed others. so it can be confusing to find the ones you actually
need, and the proper order in which to apply them.

you might want to take a look at this:

http://www.autopatcher.com/

click the "download" link, it takes you to the forum thread re:
installation. again, read carefuly!

here's a related product:

http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?s=a1ac3d0e67f563d8a4d2eca8be83700b&showtopic=188337&st=0&#entry2453585

And if memory serves there are other tools that do this same sort of
thing, google for 'em.

Yes I get the full list.
Windows XP SP2
54 - Critical Updates & Service Packs
23 - Multi-Language Features

Yeah, I just find that the Windows Update Catalog makes it difficult to
figure out which patches you really need. I much prefer the Security
Bulletin Search http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/current.aspx
as you can narrow the search down to the patches to what you really need
and filter out patches that have been replaced by later patches. Or you
can just look at the list I created that have direct links to the files
on MS's Server.

http://www.kurttrail.com/microscum/postsp2

No need to muck around trying to figure out anything.

the other tool that can integrate the hotfixes is called XPCREATE

http://xpcreate.com/

It also has a list of the minimum fail-safe" set of hotfixes that you
need.

If your machine is currently updated, viewing its WinUpdate History should
give you an idea of which of those 100 available updates you really need
to have.

download all the updates after SP2 and write them to cd
