Running XP Pro, SP2, all updates ( except the last security updates)

Update site accessed ok

Updates displayed

When Install selected the install/loading screen is loaded, but not action
displayed. Have to ALt CTRL Del and stop the process.

Deleted IE6 Cache, runs Spy removal software, and AD removal software, still
can't get any actrion from the load/install screen

Suggestions please.

I see that I can't start BITS, gettiing an error 2147942402

I see that the last update I was able to install was dated before the
installations of:

Software Distribution Service 2.0.... I don't know what this is, or how it was
installed.

I tried to restore before this installation of Software Distribution Service
2.0, and I could not be restore prior to that point.

I am REALLY frustrated about now. Thaks for any help...
