Whenever I open Google Search, it comes up in Russian instead of English. I
tried all the preferences available, but no joy. Anyone know how to correct
this?

Clear cache, check proxy (aka LAN settings) and try it in another
browser (to make sure explorer isnt hijacked)

Using My Computer or Windows Explorer, go to C:\Documents and Settings\<user
name>\Cookies and delete any ones related to Google.
