Images in Explorer (6.0) initially appear with suboptimal quality. If I
right-click the image I can select an option to display with full quality.
Any thoughts on how the images could be displayed with full quality
automatically? Thanks.

Hi Lode :-)

A few exceptions here with your post.....first, you don't give us the
version of Windows or IE you are using, nor do you tell is what your idea of
'suboptimal quality' is. Do you mean blurred, distorted, fuzzy, etc.

In view of the above, I can only start with a general reply in an effort to
assist:

Try clearing the IE cache. I.E./Tools/Options/General/Delete files (and
delete offline content.)

And.....

If you have an accelerator supplied by your ISP try turning it off.
It works by reducing image size (and therefor quality) for downloads.

Zone Alarm Pro can block Images in IE

1. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level>reset custom
level to Medium or Low
2. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>set the slider to Medium or Low
3. Go to this site and read on adjusting the Privacy settings in ZA. It will
explain how to customize on a per site basis.

Kerio Personal Firewall and any other anti-advertisement software you have
on your system will also do this.

Thanks- I will try these. The images are not fuzzy; they look "digital" -
mulitple rectangular images which disappear when I right click full image
quality. I am using IE 6 and Windows XP home edition. The computer with which
I have the problem - I use Juno to access the net via dial-up. It is supposed
to download faster than standard Juno.

Thanks. Problem solved. I clicked on my Juno "speedband" and there was an
adjustment for download speed/picture quality. Pictures now download slower
but sharper. Thanks again for your ideas. Dell support was going to have me
go through an elaborate repair process for IE 6. Have a great week.

I get this issue too but I don't get any option to display in full quality.
Any particular website that you are using for testing? I will go there and
see what I get.
