Crashing Regularly

Our 98SE Athlon 1mghz 40GB drive / 512 Ram system works great.......except
that it freezes up rather regularly. Several times a day is not unusual. It
seems to be related to IE 6........running interactive programs, or Windows
Explorer, often when closing down Web-Sites and then getting the ol'
freeze-up.

I clean things up thoroughly with Adaware, Spybot, Xoft, and scan for
viruses. Plenty of room on the drive........over 16 gigs.

Can't really afford a new computer at the moment, so help is sought.
