Standard Tool Bar's Link for MS Messenger Loads 4.0???

How would I get IE 6.0's (6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr_050301-1519) standard
tool bar's link to MS Messenger to load version 7.0?

I have un-installed MS Messenger 4.0 and reinstalled MS Messenger 7.0 and
yet, by the powers vested into Microsoft, I still get MS Messenger 4.0 when I
click on the link in the standard tool bar (even though, supposedly, 4.0 is
un-installed?)

WTF?

Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger (v7.0) are two different applications,
SW.

To add MSN Messenger to the IE toolbar, see
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.msn.messenger/browse_frm/thread/b205b65bfa9939bf/aa8e6d9aaa794c34?q=IE+%2B+toolbar&rnum=1&hl=en#aa8e6d9aaa794c34

Should work for MSN Messenger v7.x.
