LPT port question

I want to use LPT2 and not LPT1 to avoid a conflict with an interupt used by
my Epson printer utility. I had this working fine but suddenly this week I
cannot print because I now only have LPT1 on my XP prof SP2.

How can I add LPT2?

Do you have a separate LPT card installed? Are the drivers showing up as
correctly installed in Device Manager?

click 'Start'
click 'Printers and Faxes'
click 'Add a printer'
click 'Next' in Add Printer Wizard
click 'Next' again, and make sure you selected 'Local printer attached to this computer'
and also check 'Automatically detect and install my .....'
click 'Next' again, since the Wizard was unable to detect.......'

You should be able to view the printer ports now, both LPT & COM ports
