Lost Favourites

Got a good one for you. I stupidly accepted an invitation from my BT Yahoo
browser to import all bookmarks from IE. What I didn't realise was that it
would empty the favourites out completely.
I have a long task ahead of me of going through each favourites and copying
the URL over to IE and the re-saving but does anyone have any good ideas on a
quicker way to get these back.
Have already tried system restore and they have all gone.

It is unlikely they have gone, more likely the Registry entry has been
changed.
Try this:
Internet Explorer Favorites are missing/empty
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFAQ.htm#favorites
and try searching for a Favorites folder that has the entry changed. I
don't know if BT Yahoo does it, but Earthlink has been known to do it
(see the page above for a reference)

Well I must say that is rather encouraging. Thanks mate - I will give it a go
tonight.
