IE6 Does Not Remember Text Size Setting

Hi,

IE6 does not remember text size (View>Text Size>Small) any longer. That is
the way it is configured as the default in OE6 too.

It will always open up with Medium sized text.

How can I get the Text Size setting to be retained? This is a trivial issue
maybe, but needed for some fixed browsing I do every day and need to see
pages efficiently.

I already have BagsMRU optimized in the Registry for 8000 settings, BTW, in
case there is any connection.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Live long and prosper. Damn the Vulcans for stealing our line.

Do you have MS Office installed?

If IE-View-Text Size does not stick....

---solution 1
If you are using Eudora 4.2 or greater then use Tools-Options-Viewing
Mail and uncheck "Use Microsoft's viewer"
It is Eudora that is setting the IE text size and unchecking that
option will stop it.

The key that Eudora 4.x will change is this:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\International\Scripts\3]
"IEFontSize"=hex:02,00,00,00

---solution 2
In Outlook 2000 go to Tools/Options/Mail Format/Fonts/International
Fonts, and for each font
change the "Font Size" entry to your desired size.

Thanks very much for your response.

I carried out the tip you provided for Outlook 2000 on Outlook 2003 that I
have as part of MS Office Professional 2003.

It did the trick! Regards and thanks again!
