I am looking to remove a few restricted sites in IE. I have tried Tools
>Internet Options>Security tab> Restricted sites >Clicked the Sites button
clicked the name of the Web site I wanted to remove then clicked the Remove
button, and then click OK twice. However they return after a restart. Is
there anything else i can try?
I would appreciate any help, thank you Doze00

It sounds to me like a network administrator on your network has applied
these Resticted Sites settings using a Group Policy. This would explain why
they come back after a reboot. Contact the administrator in your organisation
who is responsible for Group Policy.

Are you using an anti-malware/spyware/adware, or ad-blocking program such as
Spybot Search & Destroy, etc. that places entries automatically in the
restricted sites list?
These entries are stored in the registry. To clear them up, without having
to edit the registry manually, go here:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/restricted.htm and scroll down a little bit
to the "To remove all the sites listed in the Restricted Zone" part for a
little program that will clean them up for you.
