When I do a start/run and put in a url (www.microsoft.com) the web site comes
up but not in a new window unless it is the first window. If I have an
instance of IE up with a web page, the new web page I requested will occupy
that window and I will lost the web page I was just looking at.

How do I get IE to bring up a new window when I use start/run? Are there any
switches i can add to my command?

Thx

Hi,
You might try, From IE> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced> Browsing> uncheck
"Reuse windows
for launching shortcuts."

Or, you might have to type the path to IE. Example:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" www.yahoo.com

Hope this helps,
