Unable to change Advance Settings

This occurred in IE 5.0, and I upgraded to IE 6.0 in the hope it would
correct the problem but didn't.

Going to Internet Options and clicking on the Advanced tab, I'm unable to
change these settings, and the Restore Default button is grayed out. I'm
logged in using an Administrator Account. However other users logging in
using their account is able to change the settings. Any ideas why this is
happening?

Using Windows 2000.

Thanks,
M

Do you use SpybotSD? Perhaps it's that's program's immunize feature?

http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser/browse_thread/thread/199e007e8492b3c7/968f0688b5a6926b?q=spybotsd+immunize+mvp+group:microsoft.*.ie6.browser&rnum=3#968f0688b5a6926b

(Google Groups search for
spybotsd immunize mvp group:microsoft.*.ie6.browser
)

If that's not it I would suspect some other Policy setting.
One way to discover it would be to use RegMon filtering on Polic
(e.g. since a common subkey is Policies.)

Good luck
