Hello,
I am having trouble with a file that Norton is recognizing as a Hacktool
Threat. The file is C:\windows\system32\explorer2.dll
I cannot delete this file. I have started the machine in safe mode with only
the minimum drivers and still cannot delete this file. XP tells me
"Cannot delete explorer2: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full
or write protected and that the file is not currently in use."
A week or two ago when I first started working on this problem there was an
executable file called explorer2.exe. which had a process started called
explorer2. I deleted the explorer2 process and the executable file but I
cannot delete the explorer2.dll file.
Any suggestions??
I thank anyone who may be able to help at all.
