Browser: IE6
Website: finance.yahoo.com
Browsing in IE works as should with all sites except finance.yahoo.com. If
I type finance.yahoo.com in the address bar, press enter or click go, it
instead changes to www.yahoo.com and brings up the main yahoo site.
If I click the link from www.yahoo.com main page for finance, it takes me to
the finance page, but the graphs don't load (link references www.yahoo.com
and should be referencing finance.yahoo.com, and if I do a search, it changes
to www.yahoo.com and gives a page cannot be displayed error.
If I connect to finance.yahoo.com using the IP address, everything, with the
exception of the graphs work as they should (the graphs still reference
www.yahoo.com when it should be finance.yahoo.com).
The problem does not occur in any alternative browsers, it is specific to IE.
I have done IE repairs, cleaned spyware/adware off of the system, emptied
cache, reset web settings, tried new profiles, and nothing has resolved this.
Other sites, such as support.microsoft.com work as they should, so it is
only specific to finance.yahoo.com.
Thanks for your hlep.
