What is an Internet Exploer bar agent?
Spybot serach and destroy asks me if I want to allow it. I respond NO.
Microsoft anti spy ware says it is:
The Internet Explorer Explorer Bar Agent monitors modifications made to your
list of Internet Explorer Explorer Bar applications.
THis doesn't help much.
It Says:
An Internet Explorer Explorer Bar ({C4EE31F3-4768-11D2-BE5C-00A0C9A83DA1})
has been added to your Internet Explorer and has been automatically allowed.
Microsoft AntiSpyware has determined this program to be free of known spyware.
I don't see a change in the IE tool bar.

Frank,

{C4EE31F3-4768-11D2-BE5C-00A0C9A83DA1} is a system component. It's the File
/ folder search bar, which is implemented into the shell as "Explorer bar"
(vertical). The entry is visible when you click View > Explorer bar menu in
Internet Explorer.

File Search Explorer Band
%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll
