Hi,
as a follow-up to this issue I wanted to find out, which are the best
security software for a work station? Are there other and better than say
Symantec and MacAfee????

WOW, that's a pretty extensive list. From the professional ones though,
which one(s) would be considered the best? Is there such a thing to begin
with anyway?

I've had good luck so far with the following programs on my system:
Norton Antivirus 2004 (just the AV program, not the Security Suite);
ZoneAlarm firewall, the free version; Adaware SE Personal edition,
again, a free program; and finally, Spybot Search and Destroy, yet
another freebie. The only program I pay for is the Norton AV. Many
complain about Norton, but it hasn't let me down yet. There is a free
antivirus program called AVG by Grisoft that is reported to be good,
too. See http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php

OK thanks very much!
I have an unrelated question I am experiencing a problem with accessing my
netscape.net mail. I go to the site enter my user/pass info and then I see
the URL info flipping back and forth endlessly. Any clues what's going on? I
used CWShredder but nothing. It doesn't appear to be a hijack either.

I don't let anything from Symantec or McAfee into the building. We use AVG.
