[L BUTTERFIELD]

I have a PNY 512 Storage device. When I plug it in to a USB port I don't get
a "Removable Storage Device" listed on my computer. So I can't click on
anything to open it up and use what is stored in it. The little "click here
to safely remove storage device" does show up and the device manager says it
is working. I just don't get anything to click on in Explore or in the My
Computer area.

Doesn't the device have to be formatted first to be seen as a drive?

Additionally, right click My Computer, Manage, Disk Management. The device should show up there. You may just need to assign a drive letter to it.
