I'm running Windows XP w/SP2, IE6 w/encryption (I don't know what the
amount of encryption is) and SP2.
I wasn't having any problems on the Internet using IE6 until after I
installed/then uninstalled Firefox and Thunderbird and changed my
service provider to dialup (NetZero), then back to my cable modem
(Cheetah) provider. I believe it has something to do with NetZero and
I'm not sure why.
On web pages some images do not appear (only a red X in a box). On
other web pages, in areas where there might be an ad, it shows "this
page cannot be displayed". I've tried only one remedy and it didn't
work. How can I correct this problem?
One other thing, I haven't had any updates to Windows or IE since
February. When I go to the update website, it says it's set to
automatic update and that there's no new updates. I can't believe there
haven't been any updates since February. Have there been updates since
then?
Thanks in advance,
Kay
Added info - I'm running AVG, AdAware, ZoneAlarm, Spybot and Destroy
and Xoftsoft and CCleaner. Is that overkill? :-)
