I am having a similar error message almost exactly the same only a little
bit different. A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C027DA63 in VXD CMN
(06) + 00003A63. Would video drivers be a good place to start working to fix
this problem?
Or is this a different error and do I need to keep looking for another
solution?

First video drivers, then sound card drivers.
