Cookie list disappeared

I occasionally run a freeware spy cookie audit from Webroot and usually
delete what's found by going to the cookie list attached to the list of
temporary internet files through "Settings" under the "General" tab of
"Internet Options" . I when to the list yesterday and found that the cookie
list was no longer attached to the beginning of the TIF list as it always
has been.

There was a list of TIF there, but the oldest one was dated 30 May, 2005. I
have the disc storage limit for TIF set to 100 megs. When I check the folder
size for the files only in "C:\...Local Settings", the numbers roll up to
about 23 megs. When I check the size of the cookie folder in "C:\Docs and
Settings", the numbers roll up to about 3.5 megs. The cookie folder still
appears in "Docs and Settings" and the list of temp files in "Local
Settings" is the same as what appears in "Internet Options".

We had a brief power failure on May 25th while the system was off, and my
dialup modem sounds have changed slightly since then. I did malware scans
with Ad-Aware, Spybot and Norton and run SpywareBlaster and MS Antispy as
well.

Is this change something I should be concerned about and/or is there a
simple way to restore the list of cookies to the TIF list?
