Hi, Further to my previous question 'Firewire card problem', it is now clear
that there is no problem with it. I have bought a new one, installed it . . .
no change:( I have checked most of my PCs settings as recommended in your
kind replies, and again - no improvement, DVI-AVI capturing delivers just
poor quality, frames dropped frequently, just noise instead of the sound
recorded. But it is now absolutely clear there must be something wrong with
my PCs settings, but what? Or do I need to portition my hard disk - but how
to do it? I am a bit lost as when I follow the 'help' instructions, the say
'click on a free area', but I can't see anything suitable to click on, even
the disk is more then 75% free.
My HD is
HDD Seagate U6 series
Name: HD Seagate U6 series
Type: 3.5-inch IDE Hard Drive with Ultra DMA/100
Manufacturer: Seagate
Speed: 5400 RPM
Cache: 2 MB
Please, do you have any suggestions? I understad that a higher HD speed
would be better, but at the same time my HD's speed is still supposed to be
good enough for the job...
Many thanks for you help.
