Picture Tasks
While trying to learn how to print photos from my PC, I came across the
following instructions:
1. In Windows XP, open the folder containing your pictures.
2. In the left pane, under Picture Tasks, click Print Pictures.
After I perform step 1, I do not see a left pane or anything labeled Picture
Tasks. Is there some configuration setting that I need to set in order to
see the Picture Tasks?
Try clicking on the "folders" icon , it toggles the view back and forth from
the folder view to the tasks view.

1. Enable Common Tasks
2. Disable the Folder pane
3. If that does not help, set the Folder type template to "Pictures" rather
than "Documents". Right-click the folder and choose Properties. Click the
Customize tab.
