The only music I am able to import to Movie Maker are the sample music clips
that are provided by windows. I am unable to import music from CDs or music
saved to the C:. The error states "protected by Digital Rights Management".
Does this mean that I will not be able to use any other music in this
program? How can I use my music when making my movie?

You are blocked by a DRM. Try other music files that you have, usually MP3
files or even WAV, WMA or CDAs.
