XP Pro SP2, Windows Messenger 5.1 using .NET Messaging Service

When people on my contact list click on properties against my name, they see
an old mobile phone number. This is strange since I changed my phone number
under Tools|Options|Phone months ago. I've even tried deleting the number
but the "ghost" number is still available to my contacts.

This is a known issue, unfortunately the database which holds this information is not updated
very often.
