Application Sharing and Whiteboard

Hi,

I have been trying to set up the messenger 7's whiteboard and application
sharing with my professor at school for three weeks now. However, sometimes
the whiteboard and the application sharing work, sometimes the two do not
seem to work at all. (We also get the waiting..then connecting..then
nothing).
I have a UPnP enabled netgear router at home. Last night I finally
completely shut off the router firewall which enabled AV connectivity but the
whiteboard and the application sharing were still not able to work. Can
anyone tell me exactly which ports need to be opened for AV, whiteboard, and
application? Please!! It is really furstrating!! I contacted netgear and they
told me to contact you guys becasue that was not their router's problem!!

Is your professor's computer firewalled or NAT'ed in any way?

If so, the problems might actually be on his/her end (unless you know that
the professor is able to use it with other people)..

Just a thought.

yes. he is able to share with several different people across the country.
i even get rid of the old linsky router since it did not have the universal
sharing for this netgear one. however, it is still not working since i do not
know which ports are for which.
