The issue I have is that I am entering in uers admins under the computer
management section and when I do the name dont get resolved, and they do to
some encrypted sceme that doesnt allow my users to log into the system with.
it shows a picture of a head with a "?" thru it, and then a letter, and then
a sting of numbers.
This is only happening with user and groups I try to add that are on the
network users. Local accounts are just fine.
I had thought it might be the media sencing that windows XP does on the
gigbit nic card that I have so I have disabled that. Nothing helped.
any suggestions out there for me ??? thanks in advanced !

This can happen if the account you are using to add the users does not have
permissions to resolve account SID's to names. Are the accounts you are
adding AD accounts? Is your system joined to the domain still?

My machine is on the netowrk and part of the domain. as well as the users are
active groups on AD. any other suggestions ?
