Starting Win-XP

I recently uninstalled (deleted) Win-ME from a multi-partioned Dell. WinXP
is on the other partition. It would default to Win-ME which I didn't need
anymore.

It seems I deleted too many system files and now it won't load. I have made
an XP boot disk, and deleted the Win-ME partition, but I can't get XP to
start once it boots up in Dos mode. I can't get it to recognize the Win-XP
CD install drive either.

Is there a way to make a Boot disk that automatically starts Win-XP?

How to start Win-XP from Dos-Boot? (I'm sinking like a U-Boat here!)

The XP CD, if a full or update version, is bootable.

Boot the computer using the XP CD. You may need to change the boot order in
the system BIOS so the CD boots before the hard drive. Check your system
documentation for steps to access the BIOS and change the boot order.
