Question about file compression in Disk Cleanup.

When I want to do Disk Cleanup, one of the things it calculates is how much
would be saved by doing file compression. I never want the file compression
done, but this calculation takes a lot of time. How can I tell it I do not
want to hear about file compression?

Thanks

Either of these will delete that option:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=812248
Or
Follow this link:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Line 48, Right column "Disk Cleanup - Compress..."
Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
